Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman has a lot on his plate this summer as he has a lot of cap space in which he will need to re-sign some players while also looking for new talent to bring in.
There are many players the Wings are looking at but one that sticks out in Martin Necas from the Hurricanes. Necas had 53 points in 77 games last season and could be a huge addition to the Wings top 6.
Another great addition up front would be Pavel Buchnevich who like Necas is a great scorer but the advantage that Buchnevich brings is that he is a hard hitting physical forward as well.
A defenseman that could be a great addition at a low cap hit is Jacob Chychrun from the Senators who has been struggling a little more in Ottawa but could blossom with a change of scenery.
Finally as for goaltender, if the Wings could agree to a trade with the Bruins, landing Linus Ullmark could be massive as it would give the Wings a true number 1 starting goalie who has proven to be incredible as he won the Vezina 2 years ago.
