A Detroit Red Wings forward appears to be a healthy scratch for Saturday afternoon's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Detroit Red Wings will host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday afternoon as they look to bounce back from their ugly 5-0 loss to the New York Islanders earlier this week.
This performance highlighted the lack of consistency within the offensive group. It seems every night, we don't know what to expect from the team.
They showed they could be among the best in the league, but also one of the worst.
Unfortunately, this is partly due to a player's underwhelming season so far.
Indeed, after a promising rookie season last year, Marco Kasper has been struggling.
According to reports, Kasper should be made a healthy scratch for today's game against the Blue Jackets.

Kasper To Be Made a Healthy Scratch For Today's Game

"I think it's obvious, it's not where it needs to be. But it's difficult when you've entered the league and a lot of good things have happened for you, and then you come back, and all that momentum goes away.

"But confidence isn't something that's in your back pocket and you just lose it at the mall or leave it in your car. Over time, it erodes, and you've got to find ways to stop the momentum and get it back. And he's frustrated, he got in a fight at the end of the game, and maybe that will trigger it."

"I know, he knows, and his teammates know he's a better player than what we have right now. Everyone has to participate in cracking that nut, including Marco... we need the best from him, and right now he doesn't look like the same player."

After such comments, it's not that surprising to know that Kasper will likely miss today's game.

Stay tuned for further updates ahead of the game.
