The former Detroit Red Wings forward has officially been signed to a contract following a successful professional tryout (PTO).

Born and raised a Grand Rapids native, Luke Glendening was signed to a one-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings on July 5, 2013, where he began his first year with the organization's AHL affiliate team, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Glendening would later go on to undergo 56 games with Detroit and scored his first NHL goal, which ended up becoming his only goal of the season, against the Montreal Canadiens on April 5, 2014.

He signed a four-year contract with the Red Wings on July 14, 2016 and became the first undrafted player since the NHL went to a seven-round draft in 2005 to skate in 500 games for Detroit on March 10, 2020.
