Here's our 2018 top-10 NHL redraft
Let's see how the top-10 of the NHL draft goes if we are to do it again today..
Let's recap the revised selections :
Buffalo Sabres:
Rasmus Dahlin (D) - No change from the original draft. Dahlin remains the top choice at no. 1.
Carolina Hurricanes:
Brady Tkachuk (W) - Choosing Tkachuk over
Andrei Svechnikov this time, prioritizing physicality which Carolina could benefit from right now.
Montréal Canadiens:
Quinn Hughes (D) - Upgrading from
Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Hughes has great puck handling abilities and brings it to the Canadiens blue line.
Ottawa Senators: Andrei Svechnikov (W) - With Tkachuk off the board, Svechnikov becomes a natural choice for Ottawa, adding scoring ability and skill to their forward group.
Arizona Coyotes:
Evan Bouchard (D) - Passing on
Barrett Hayton, Bouchard provides defensive stability and offensive contributions, which the Coyotes need a lot.
Detroit Red Wings:
Noah Dobson (D) - Opting for Dobson over Filip Zadina, Detroit strengthens their defense with a reliable two-way defenseman.
Vancouver Canucks:
Sean Durzi (D) - In the absence of Quinn Hughes, Vancouver opts for Durzi to bolster their defensive depth with a late bloomer showing promise.
Chicago Blackhawks:
Joel Farabee (W) - Choosing Farabee over
Adam Boqvist, Chicago adds scoring depth and physicality to their forward lines.
New York Rangers: Yegor Sharangovich (F) - Stepping away from
Vitali Kravtsov, Sharangovich offers goal-scoring ability and polyvalence to the Rangers lineup.
Edmonton Oilers:
K'Andre Miller (D) - Sticking with a defenseman, Edmonton selects Miller to improve defensive stability to the blue line.
These selections are a mix of the current play of the player, team needs, and potential upside. Each pick aims to address specific team needs or upgrade existing strengths.
