The Detroit Red Wings will match up with the Pacific Division's top team, the Anaheim Ducks, at home on the 13th, as Todd McLellan anticipates changes in the lineup.

On November 13th, we will see the Red Wings take on the Anaheim Ducks and Joel Quenneville.
With the Ducks ranking as the top team in the Pacific, the Original Six squad will have its work cut out for it.
Todd McLellan has hinted at making additional lineup changes to stifle the high-flying Ducks, who have unexpectedly become one of the best teams in the NHL.
With three losses in three games at home, the Red Wings will need to find the spark they've lost, as they slowly trickle down the ranks of the Atlantic.
With a record of 9-7-0, something needs to change.
The team's penalty kill and power play have been mediocre, failing to generate offensive pressure against the Blackhawks, losing 5-1.

The Detroit Red Wings Need A Changeup, Literally

"A game ago, we got scored on once and it was a back-check and a sort out," head coach Todd McLellan said about the goals Detroit surrendered while shorthandedl. "That can't happen. The first goal, we had a clearing opportunity with a two-on-one, and we didn't get it out."

"The third power-play goal, a walkout from below the goal line, we have the tools to take care of that and we just didn't get it done," he continued. "Much like our game right now where our power-play is scrambling, our penalty kill needs a polish up."

The team needs to do better than score only 2 goals in their last three. They'll need to figure out how to finish on chances, seeing as they peppered Arvid Soderblom with 45 shots on Sunday.
It's unfortunate that Patrick Kane hasn't been the forward to provide the spark of offense, the Red Wings have needed. Instead, McLellan has relied on a call-up from the AHL.
We could see more of the Red Wings' top prospect Nate Danielson, who has been recalled from the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins.
«There will be a lot of discussions over the next few days about what we do with the units,» McLellan said.

While the team could make some major lineup decisions in the future, depending on how he fits into the picture.
