The Russian Phenom Who Could Immediately Impact the Red Wings lineup

The Detroit Red Wings could tap into Russia, specifically the KHL's Traktor, to bring Maxim Shabanov over and impact the lineup.
Maxim Shabanov is a winger whose played for the KHL's Traktor Chelyabinsk. He's known as a highly skilled winger in the league and could find a home in North America as he becomes a free agent.
Shabanov is a highly sought-after KHLer who has produced at a rate of a point per game in the second-best hockey league in the world.
He finished third in the KHL in points this season, during regular season play, posting 67 points 23 goals, 44 assists), in 65 games. He wouldn't be content with that, following up with 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 21 games during the postseason.
Shabanov could become an option in free agency when the Red Wings shed talent, which may involve trading Vladimir Tarasenko, who underperformed this year.
Considering the team is still going through a rebuild, they could trade Tarasenko to a contender, despite the 33-year-old's declining production. He's still a viable producer in the playoffs.
While Shabanov may be considered "undersized" at 5'8", 157 pounds, we've seen what players like Cole Caulfield can do. This shouldn't be a concern for the Red Wings.
He could fill multiple roles in the organization, playing both wing and center, despite being listed primarily as a winger.
Bargain bin additions like this don't come often, and Yzerman should consider finding the perfect selling point to Shabanov. Not to mention the historic relationship the team has had with Russian players before.
"Welcome to the NHL" should be one.
