O'Reilly is still under contract with the Predators through 2027 with an average annual value (AAV) of $4.5 million.
The Predators, who will miss the playoffs, have been one of the most confusing teams in the NHL this year. Entering the year viewed by most as Stanley Cup contenders, they've since put together the 2nd to last record in the Eastern Conference.
O'Reilly has 36 points (14G, 22A) in 57 games this year. He's also played for the Colorado Avalanche and Toronto Maple Leafs.
