It was announced today that General Manager Steve Yzerman of the Detroit Red Wings has added prospects Emitt Finnie, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, and one other surprise talent to the roster for the 2025-26 season.

According to the website DailyFaceOff, former 7th-round pick Emmitt Finnie has found a spot to Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond's left. Finnie played 10 games in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins, scoring 5 points (1-4).
Now, he's played himself into a top-six spot after impressing Todd McLellan.
While 15th overall pick Michael Brandsegg-Nygard will be occupying a bottom-six spot for the Red Wings to the right of Andrew Copp and J.T. Compher this season.
He was the first Norwegian-born NHL player selected in the first round.
And former 17th overall pick, Axel Sandin-Pellikka, begins his NHL career in the bottom pairing, playing alongside rookie Albert Johansson.
