It was announced today that General Manager Tom Fitzgerald of the New Jersey Devils has signed former Detroit Red Wings forward Luke Glendening.
Luke Glendening was a Grand Rapids, Michigan-born hockey player.
He was originally undrafted and began his professional hockey career during the 2013-14 season with the Detroit Red Wings.
He would remain on the Red Wings roster until the 2020-21 season, when he'd sign
a deal with the Dallas Stars in July 2021.
Afterwards, he'd spend two seasons in Dallas and join the Tampa Bay Lightning soon after.
Now, the former Red Wing is becoming a journeyman, as he signed a contract with the New Jersey Devils today.
He was signed to a new
contract after earning it out of training camp
on a PTO (professional tryout) with the team.
