The Detroit Red Wings continue to climb up the standings following an impressive 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild last night, but colour commentator Mickey Redmond has landed in the hot seat for swearing on live television.
Let's face it, play-by-play announcers and colour commentators are arguably the biggest hockey fans out there.
In the case of colour commentator Mickey Redmond, the veteran hockey player and beloved analysts has seen it all regarding Detroit Red Wings hockey.
While Redmond may be one of the biggest "homer" media personalities out there, his passion for the game got the best of him last night as he showed some frustration during a face-off.

During yesterday's game against the Minnesota Wild, the Detroit Red Wings were setting up for a crucial face-off in their defensive zone.
Just as the puck was set to drop, the referee delayed the play, ruling that both players jumped the gun and signalling the Minnesota player to exit the face-off circle.

While Redmond's outburst was clearly unintentional, swearing on national television is obviously a huge no-no.
But it does appear he was only saying 'drop the puck'.
