Could the Detroit Red Wings take advantage of a divisional foe's struggles and target one of their better players in a trade?

As the DETROIT RED WINGS aim to even their season-series against the divisional foe Montreal Canadiens, another Atlantic Division team is in a complete free-fall.
The Buffalo Sabres have lost 12 straight games, meaning they've now lost more games in a row than they have wins on the year,
Among Buffalo's brutal losses include a 5-4 setback against the Colorado Avalanche in which they held a 4-0 lead, along with a 6-5 shootout loss to the Red Wings in which they had leads of 1-0, 3-2, and 5-3.
During Wednesday's home game against the Flyers, multiple reports emerged that Sabres scouts were in the crowd at Little Caesars Arena, sparking speculation about a potential trade in the works.
What if the Red Wings targeted Dylan Cozens of Buffalo in a potential deal? The https://x.com/WingedWheelPod/status/1870529925385535817.
Dylan Cozens is a name that comes up. A centerman we all remember from the Mo Seider draft, a right-shot and 23 years old.

He's signed for $7.1 million through the end of the 2027-28 season, and Dylan Cozens isn't having himself he best time right now. You know, two seasons ago he was a 30 goal scorer....this season he has 7 goals and 7 assists through 32 games.

So there's something to be said about maybe there is a lot of talent in there that could be reclaimed and I have interest in Dylan Cozens for that reason.
