Red Wings reporter declares Vladislav Gavrikov will make his way to the Detroit Red Wings

Detroit is in dire need of strong competitors who are capable of bearing this organization to new extremes, an Gavrikov has been speculated to offer the team strength in areas the Red Wings Currently lack.

The Athletics' Max Bultman revealed:

«If the Red Wings are looking to add a physical, shutdown presence on the back end,» Bultman wrote, «Gavrikov is a name that makes a lot of sense.»

Bringing the veteran into Detroit would not only strengthen the team's depth on the blue line, but the 28-year old would also offer a stabilized partner for the organization's younger defensemen, such as Moritz Seider.
Bultman also noted, «It's the kind of move that could help the Red Wings take another meaningful step forward.»
Detroit's interest in the veteran comes from the team's general manager, Steve Yzerman, as he continues to strive for options that could bolster their roster without needing to remove key-players from their lineup.
Gavrikov has displayed that he thrives in a second-pairing role, while playing against top contenders and he can provide stability to the organization who has been lacking with consistency near the blue line.
