The Detroit Red Wings have issued an update on their 80-point superstar Swedish forward that is concerning for fans.

Forward Lucas Raymond has been out of the team's lineup after Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs.
He'd suffer an upper-body injury after a reckless hit from Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev.
Since then, he has remained out of the lineup and has been considered day-to-day.
All the while, the true scope of the injury may be understated (this is speculation).
There's been some progress we've seen, as Raymond practiced with the team today.

Lucas Raymond Left Practice Today, With No Major Updates

The Swedish-born forward left practice today, according to the Grind Line Podcast, as the team hasn't announced a change in his status.
«Not going to play tonight,» Red Wings coach Todd McLellan said. «Day to day upper body.»

He is still in day-to-day status for the team, while during practice, the team rolled the same lines as they did in the game beforehand.
Emmitt Finnie on the left wing and Mason Appleton on the right.
It makes us wonder if Raymond's injury is more severe than we expected. The team is certainly advertising it differently.
This isn't great news for both the Red Wings and the fans, since he isn't scheduled to return to the lineup against their Atlantic Division foes, the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Raymond scored 80 points last season (27-53) and is a key piece in the team's lineup.
