Ken Kal of the Detroit Red Wings feels that Mitch Marner won't be staying in the East, but will instead be headed to Los Angeles.

Mitch Marner has made himself infamous in Toronto after a lack of ability to finish a game seven, and progressing past multiple 1st and 2nd-round opponents during his tenure there.
Speculation has risen that the former 100+ point forward could find himself a new home in July. That is, if GM Brad Treliving decides to let him walk into free agency, if he doesn't trade him, or sign him for a contract upwards of $13+ million AAV.
Ken Kal, who is the radio voice of the Red Wings feels like he's destined to head out West to play for the Los Angeles Kings.
The Kings are in win-now mode, which gives GM Ken Holland a mandate to spend the cash he wants to acquire top-end talent.
The Kings are projected to have $23 million in cap space, which could be enough to secure Marner's services. His addition could bolster the team's top-six, giving them another scoring threat.
As the #1 pending UFA this summer, Marner could garner up to $12-14 million AAV according to AFP Analytics, which means a lot of teams could be out on Marner, especially contenders.
The Kings unlike the rest have a younger squad, and Marner could fit into right away and give the team someone whose seen significant postseason play in the NHL.
However, it depends on whether or not he's a fit in Jim Hiller's system in Los Angeles.
It'll be interesting to see where Marner lands, as he and Sam Bennett are just some of the best forwards who could be available in July.
