A new report made public an official trade offer that is on the table for Calgary Flames veteran defenseman Rasmus Andersson.

The Calgary Flames' downfall is a tough one to watch for fans of the team. The organization is at the bottom of the NHL, which pretty much confirms they will enter the trade deadline as sellers this year.
After a disappointing first half of the season, major changes appear inevitable in Calgary, with one of their leaders being considered among the biggest trade targets in the NHL this year.
An interesting new report from RG.org confirmed many details surrounding the situation.

Red Wings Among Teams Pushing For Rasmus Andersson, An Offer From Another Team Leaks

James Murphy revealed in a recent article on RG.org that the Flames are shopping Rasmus Andersson on the trade market, are looking to complete a deal before the Olympics, and that three teams are in the running: the Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, and Red Wings.
With his cap-friendly $4.55M AAV contract, Calgary is in a position to ask for a significant return.
"Keep an eye on the Senators, Bruins, and Red Wings." - Anonymous NHL executive

"It sounds like there's a desire for them to do it before the Olympics, and teams know that. Now, there's been stops and starts with this before, so I'm always careful, but there are times it seems more active than other times, and one of those times is now." - Elliotte Friedman

If the Wings want him, they'll need to make a great offer, as Murphy's report also confirmed the Bruins offered Mason Lohrei, a promising defenseman, and a first-round pick:
"The Bruins made an offer. I'm hearing that Mason Lohrei and the Bruins' first-round pick are in play."

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but don't be surprised if a trade involving Andersson goes down in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned for further updates.
