The hockey world is mourning yet another tragedy, as saddening news revealed that former Vancouver Canucks goaltender, Frank Caprice, has passed away.
Yesterday, Friday May 9, tragic news was confirmed by the Vancouver Canucks organization as they announced that longtime net-minder, Frank Caprice, passed away at 63-years old.
«We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Canucks goaltender Frank Caprice.
Frank proudly wore the Canucks jersey for six seasons, appearing in 102 career NHL games all with Vancouver. He was a beloved teammate, a valued member of our organization and he will be greatly missed.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Frank's friends and family.
While playing for the Canucks, Caprice spent a duration of six seasons, and over 100 games in Vancouver, and although he served mostly as the backup goaltender for the team, his performance was nothing less than admirable.
The NHL Alumni and the Vancouver Canucks Alumni Association also shared their condolences on social media via 'X', revealing that Caprice was well beloved within the organization, by fans and his fellow teammates, and also expressed that he was a massive part of the team, even beyond his playing years.
