Two member of the Detroit Red Wings' fate was just confirmed in a significant announcement
Two members of the Detroit Red Wings organization were named on 2026 Olympic Game rosters.
Their fate making the highly touted roster has been confirmed, congrats!
The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will mark the return of NHL players to the event, offering fans across the globe a show they won't forget soon.
Today, in a massive development, many countries announced a few players who will compete for them next year, and two members of the Detroit Red Wings already know they will get that opportunity.
Indeed,
Lucas Raymond and
Moritz Seider, arguably the two best players in Detroit, will represent Sweden and Germany at the upcoming Games.
Only six players from each team were revealed. It wouldn't be surprising to see other members of the Red Wings on the rosters down the line.
But as of now, Raymond joins
William Nylander,
Adrian Kempe,
Victor Hedman,
Rasmus Dahlin, and
Gabriel Landeskog, while Seider will play alongside
Leon Draisaitl,
Tim Stutzle,
Philipp Grubauer,
Nico Sturm, and
Lukas Reichel.
Both Seider and Raymond have been playing important roles for their countries on the international scene over their careers, and they will look to keep doing it at the Olympics.
Switzerland, Czechia, Finland, and Latvia also announced a preliminary round of players:
Roman Josi,
Nico Hischier,
Jonas Siegenthaler,
Timo Meier,
Kevin Fiala, and
Nino Niederreiter will compete for Switzerland;
