Hurricanes make huge announcement on Eric Staal
Eric Staal is now a legendary player for the Caroline Hurricanes who helped the franchise win its first and only Stanley Cup championship.
However, as his career went on, he found himself on various other teams. Well, Staal is going back to the Hurricanes for just one day. The team signed him to a 24-hour contract so that he could retire with the team that drafted him. Furthermore, his jersey will be raised to the rafters, later this year.
"No Hurricane will ever wear No. 12 again"
This is a move that is definitely going to make Hurricanes fans happy. Overall, Staal is one of the biggest legends in the history of the franchise. He has done so much for the team, and he certainly deserves the honor.
