A trade is underway for the Detroit Red Wings: Steve Yzerman's not done

Steve Yzerman did make great moves in the offseason, acquiring notably John Gibson in a deal with the Anaheim Ducks and 36-year-old veteran James van Riemsdyk.

The Wings also acquired Jacob Bernard-Dockerespecially considering the Wings' struggles at the blue line.

A new report from a well-known insider suggests Yzerman could make more moves before the start of the season.

Multiple reports confirmed this summer that across the NHL, organizations have been expecting a second rush of transactions before training camps, as many teams haven't been able to find what they were looking for in free agency.

Yzerman appears to be among those GMs.

Jeff Marek believes that the Wings are not done and could make more moves soon.

Here's what he said on his podcast 'The Sheet':

A few interesting players reportedly remain available, such as Jason Robertson and Mason McTavish.

There's no doubt that the Wings could, would, and should go after one of them.

With McTavish still without a contract for the next season, fans are eager to see where he'll end up signing.

As for Robertson, he has a year left on his contract, meaning he could end up traded ahead of the deadline like the Carolina Hurricanes and Mikko Rantanen did, or get traded next summer, like the Toronto Maple Leafs did with Mitch Marner.
