On Sunday, the Detroit Red Wings' home arena, the Little Caesars Arena, hit new attendance breaking records but not for any Detroit teams.
On March 16, the Professional Women's Hockey League, also known as the PWHL, hosted their Takeover Tour in Detroit at the Red Wings' arena, when the Minnesota Frost took on the New York Sirens, they were stunned by the immense amount of fans in the crowd. The Little Caesars arena has been home to the Red Wings since the 2016/17 NHL season, however, Detroit locals want it to be a home to a different league.
With an outstanding amount of Detroit locals in attendance, this women's league had a whopping 14,288 fans in the crowd.
The PWHL posted on their social media following the game last night in regard to the outstanding numbers in the Little Caesar's Arena.
«YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN HOCKEYTOWN!
