The Detroit Red Wings shut out the Vegas Golden Knights tonight at home in Little Caesars Arena, can they continue to play good hockey at the end of March?

The road is going to get bumpier as the Red Wings will have to find a way to play the kind of hockey they did against the Vegas Golden Knights.
They shut down Bruce Cassidy's Golden Knights at home 3-0, giving them a record of 32-29-6 and 6th in the Atlantic Division.
The Wings are in the midst of a pitched battle with four other teams, two trying to maintain their Wild Card spot in the East, with the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers.
While competing with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and Montreal Canadiens to regain a chance to make it to the postseason.
They'll need to strap on their belts, as March and April look to be their toughest months of hockey as they face the Florida Panthers twice, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Dallas Stars, the Colorado Avalanche, and the New Jersey Devils.
McLellan will have to pull out his bag of tricks in order to get the Red Wings into gear to face opponents like the Panthers who play hockey with a ferocity we've only seen before in teams like the Knights.
The Wings need to play their best hockey during this stretch in order to win in regulation every night, or at least take some of these teams into overtime.
As it stands now, the team has 70 points and is 2 points behind the New York Rangers for the second wild-card spot.
If the Wings play consistent hockey and pull off some upsets, while their rivals the Columbus Blue Jackets cool off we should see McLellan and the Wings find comfortable footing just behind the Senators.
Players like Patrick Kane will need to stay hot, after posting 11 points (3 goals, 8 assists) in March if they're to hold any kind of pressure in the standings.
For now, the battle continues and the Red Wings still have a shot.
