According to reports from NHL Insider Marco D'Amico, the Detroit Red Wings are one of the teams interested in free agent, Brock Boeser.

The Detroit Red Wings could use some punch on the top-six, and pending UFA, Brock Boeser could be the solution.
Boeser is a responsible, two-way forward who, like JT Miller, is looking for an exit from an organization that doesn't have an identity and a path to the Stanley Cup at the moment.
«Honestly, it's unlikely at this point,» the 28-year-old forward told Sportsnet in a story posted Thursday. "It [stinks]. It's unfortunate. I'm just trying to play good hockey and then I'll worry about everything after that. We all know it's been a roller coaster of a year. There's been a lot of different things.»

Boeser, is a only a season removed from his 40-goal campaign, where he scored 73-points, and was one the Canucks best wingers in 2023-24.
Now, he'll have a shot to get a better deal, and hopefully a better chance at the playoffs as Jim Rutherford and Patrik Allvin retool the lineup.
According to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, the former 73-point forward was looking for more term on his deal.
The Canucks agreed to pay him $8 million AAV originally, but couldn't find a sweet spot when it came to the length of the deal.
For Steve Yzerman, he could get a premium winger, who could help push the team into contention, if he could negotiate the right kind of contract with Boeser.
However, will Yzerman be ok with spending a decent chunk of his $21 million in available cap space to sign Boeser?
We'll find out whether he remains conservative or decides to spend assets on Boeser.
