Detroit Red Wings deliver crucial news on captain Dylan Larkin and it all adds up now

Fans have begun speculating as to why Red Wings' captain, Dylan Larkin, has struggled to produce for his team as of late, however, it has been revealed the forward has reasoning behind his underwhelming gameplay.
Detroit has been in dire need for success in their most recent games as the playoffs are right around the corner, yet, their top contender and goal scorer has only displayed low-ball stats for his organization.
In the Detroit Red Wings' past 10 games, their key-forward, Larkin, has been unable to produce his normal impeccable game play, with one goal in the duration of these games, fans have begun speculating as to why the 28-year old has been lacking.
Dylan Larkin Is Actually Battling A Severe Injury
Back in February, it was revealed by Detroit's head coach, Todd McLellan, that Dylan Larkin had actually endured an injury prior to contending for team USA in the 4 Nations Face-Off.
«He was really playing well,» McLellan said of his captain. «He went to the Four Nations, was dinged up a little bit before he went, came back, and it hasn't quite been at that level, but he's pushing through.»
McLellan suggests the team's captain has been battling an injury, even prior to representing his country.
Detroit's head coach continued to reveal his injury is still on-going:
«He's trying to give us what he has right now. And, you know, like anybody, we expect a lot from him. He's kind of the senior serving guy. And he's working his way through, but there's no doubt we'll need him and the rest of his teammates down the stretch. Not just him, but everybody else.»
Following McLellan breaking his silence on the captain's injury, Larkin spoke up for himself.

«Been battling,» Larkin admits. «Trying to play defense and check for chances. I've been trying to work and work as hard as possible, and I've been pleased with that. But it is what it is.»
This is a tough pill to swallow as the team has consistently struggled following the 4 Nations Face-Off, however, this does give reassurance that Larkin is suggested to make a comeback once he recovers.
