The Detroit Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan provided a crucial update on Lucas Raymond's injury ahead of tonight's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Todd McLellan and the Detroit Red Wings will be back in action tonight for their fifth straight game against division rivals as they face the Tampa Bay Lightning at Little Caesars Arena.
The Red Wings will look to build on their three-game winning streak after beating the Toronto Maple Leafs twice and then the Florida Panthers in the past week.
As for the Lightning, Jon Cooper's team will do all they can to get back on the winning track amid a tough start to the season.
Indeed, after five games, the team only has one win, with only one point over the Buffalo Sabres at the bottom of the Atlantic Division.
The Lightning will have an advantage for the game, as the Red Wings will miss one of their best players due to an injury.

Lucas Raymond To Miss Tonight's Game Against Tampa Bay Lightning With Injury

After missing Wednesday night's game against the Panthers, Lucas Raymond will be forced to miss another matchup.
Todd McLellan confirmed the news earlier today but also added that things look good for an imminent return for Raymond, still considered day-to-day:
If you missed it, check it out here:
Raymond is obviously one of the most important players in Detroit. Although the team managed to win their last game without him, it won't be easy to compete against a hungry Tampa team.
Fans are hoping that Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane will keep carrying the team offensively, with both players totaling 11 points together since the start of the season.
