Head Coach Todd McLellan of the Detroit Red Wings issued an update on Patrick Kane ahead of Sunday's game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Reality is much, much worse.
Head Coach Todd McLellan of the Red Wings has issued an update on forward Patrick Kane, who is a top-six player in the lineup.
«Kaner won't play tomorrow. He'll continue to be evaluated. We'll have an update on him as we go forward,» the Detroit bench boss said in a video shared to the team's official YouTube channel.
Patrick Kane's Status Remains Day-to-Day
According to Head Coach Todd McLellan of the Red Wings, Kane is in day-to-day status
and won't be available to suit up against the Edmonton Oilers juggernaut, led by Connor McDavid.
It's unfortunate that he's been injured early in the year and will miss one game, considering the issues the team has had with finding scoring last season.
Now, the team will have to rely on a depth forward to slot in on the top-six, or a call-up.
Kane, who is a playmaker and sniper, has 5 points (2-3) in 5 games with the Red Wings.
