For most of his career, Faksa was a member of the Dallas Stars before the St. Louis Blues acquired him, and he's remained a reliable player.
But the situation in Arch City is still bleak, and the Blues don't look like they'll be contending any time soon. Therefore, older, experienced veterans who can help out playoff-bound or potentially playoff-bound teams like Faksa could be in higher demand as March 7th nears.

A postseason spot for the Blues is anything but a sure thing at this point, and because Faksa is one of the expiring contracts that general manager Doug Armstrong has on his roster, he could dangle Faksa as trade bait at the Trade Deadline.
He's not fit in with the Blues in his 1st year in St. Louis, reaching only 10 points (3G, 7A) in 47 games played.
His AAV (average annual value) of $3,250,000 also would be no problem for the Red Wings to be able to afford.
