The Detroit Red Wings got the full package when selecting
goaltender Trey Augustine 41st overall in the 2023 NHL entry draft.
Deemed as the best goaltender in the 2023 draft class, his numbers and gold-medal winning championships certainly backup that claim.
Red Wings' Augustine destined for NCAA's AAU Sullivan Award
With his current seasons record sitting at 17-6-4, alongside a 2.09 GAA (goals against average) and a .925% SV% (save percentage), he now earns the nomination to claim the AAU Sullivan Award, which is awarded to 'the most outstanding athlete at the collegiate or Olympic level in the United States'.
