Detroit Red Wings' Patrick Kane makes major personal decision that confirms his fate with the organization

Red Wings forward Patrick Kane, coming off his 1st full year in Detroit, is selling one of his many properties in Chicago he owned while playing for the Blackhawks.
Red Wings forward Patrick Kane may have gotten off to a slow start with the Red Wings in the fall, but his play immediately improved after the hiring of coach Todd McLellan.
He finished 4th overall on the team in scoring with 59 points (21G, 38A) and had good chemistry with Alex DeBrincat and Marco Kasper on the team's 2nd line.
Kane has recently made a major personal decision, selling one of the pair of condominiums he owns in Chicago's Trump International Hotel & Tower for a cool $2.11 million.
The condo that was sold was on the building's 69th floor; he also currently owns a condo on the 33rd floor, as well as a pair of additional properties in the Chicago area.
The chances of Patrick Kane returning for another full season with the Red Wings are good; both parties expressed a mutual interest in extending the relationship.
Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman noted that he was open to bringing Kane back for 2025-26 with a new contract.
We had a brief discussion in our meeting. We would preferably try to get some things in place, if we can, early. If not, we'll figure out something down the road. I know Patrick had suggested it in his time up here with the media. I'm optimistic.
He played well for us, played an important role for us. He's a very professional guy in his approach and his attitude. He's a good asset for us.
