Detroit's Assistant Director of Player Development, Dan Cleary, praised Lombardi's growth, noting his increased strength and confidence. Lombardi's offseason focused on building strength and refining his technical skating, which he found incredibly beneficial. Additionally, he underwent vision training to enhance his hand-eye coordination and cognitive skills.
Griffins head coach Dan Watson has also noticed Lombardi's dedication, remarking on his physical improvements without sacrificing speed. Lombardi acknowledges that there is still much to learn, but he is eager to continue developing.
"It was a great year for development," he said. "I'm really excited for this year."
