The news for former Detroit Red Wings forward Daniel Sprong is bad, as he's been suspended from the KHL; not even Sergei Fedorov can help him there.

Daniel Sprong plays in the KHL for CSKA Moscow and started off with a promising 14 points in 14 games (5-9).
But that is where the excitement ends for the CSKA forward, as he was suspended for two games for "bad behavior."
"According to Sport-Express, head coach Igor Nikitin is «dissatisfied with the player's behavior. Specifically, he's complaining that the 28-year-old forward isn't meeting his demands and isn't fitting in with the team's play.»

This is surprising news for Sprong, who hasn't shied away from the fact that there was an adjustment period in the KHL to the new league and culture.
An adjustment that former Red Wing Sergei Fedorov was supposed to help with.

Daniel Sprong's 2023-24 With the Detroit Red Wings

Daniel Sprong was productive with the Red Wings in 2023-24 when he suited up here in Hockeytown. He played a total of 76 games and scored 43 points (18-25) as a bottom-six forward in the lineup.
But the team wouldn't re-sign him, and he'd have to find a new home in free agency with the Vancouver Canucks.
He'd sign a one-year, $970K deal with the Pacific Division team and would later be traded back to Seattle after nine games.
His second stint with the Kraken didn't prove to be a fruitful relationship, playing 10 games with 2 points (1-1) and was shipped to the AHL with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, scoring 25 points (11-14).
They'd ship him to the New Jersey Devils on March 7th, and he scored 2 points (2A).
Not even Sergei Fedorov seems capable of saving his KHL career at this point, which seems to be on life support.
