The 2025-26 Detroit Red Wings are aiming to make the playoffs in a season that has already been decided for them.
But for Captain Dylan Larkin and the rest of the squad, this Centennial Season is something special.
Marked not only by a new jersey, but a purpose that has been clearly defined by the team.
The Red Wings' home, Little Caesars Arena, will match the vibe of the year, offering unique merchandise and foodstuffs to fans to celebrate its 100 years as an institution in the NHL.
Not only that, but the jersey features a mix of different eras of Red Wings hockey, while paying homage to their progenitors, the Detroit Cougars.
When Will the Detroit Red Wings wear their Centennial Jerseys?
The Red Wings will wear their Centennial Season jerseys on select dates during their 2025-26 campaign.
But they will debut them on the ice against their Original Six foes, the Montreal Canadiens, on October 9th, in Little Caesars Arena.
The team has released the full schedule for your viewing pleasure, showing when the team will be wearing the special jerseys.
It's not ironic that they will be facing off against Original Six opponents when wearing them this season, aside from teams like the Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators, Philadelphia Flyers, New Jersey Devils, and Florida Panthers.
