New insight has revealed fans are furious following the NHL's first week of the 2025/26 NHL regular season, and Gary Bettman is facing the heat.
The new season just got underway four days ago, on Tuesday night, and fans are excited about the fact they finally have some great hockey to watch once again, following a long offseason.
However, fans woke up Friday morning, ready to watch more, but they found out quickly that the National Hockey League was back with a very confusing and frustrating schedule.
As there will be no games Friday night after 28 teams were in action just last night, and all 32 clubs will be playing again on Saturday.
And it does not end there.
Sunday, October 11, there is only one game on the program.
Fans express their frustration's regarding the 2025/26 NHL schedule
Fans have already begun expressing their frustrations regarding this year's schedule, unable to understand as to why the NHL would make such terrible scheduling decisions, especially just four days into the season.
«Peak NHL scheduling is back!» one fan stated.
«Truly baffling how bad they are scheduling I don't understand. Bettman loves sabotaging his own product,» answered another.
Many more fans have spoken their mind regarding this confusing scheduling.
Even well-known NHL insiders such as Pierre LeBrun touched base on the bizarre scheduling.
"No NHL games tonight. Between 28 teams playing last night and all 32 teams playing Saturday, Friday got squeezed. Not ideal obviously,"
he stated on X.
