NHL insider delivers controversial opinion of Detroit Red Wings Captain Dylan Larkin

NHL Network's Brian Boyle wouldn't spare a moment to share his controversial opinion on the Detroit Red Wings' top center, Dylan Larkin.
The NHL Network released rankings of the top 20 centers in the NHL.
The Detroit Red Wings' own Dylan Larkin was fortunate enough to make the list.
But unbeknownst to us all, it'd be a disappointing spot.
Larkin, according to the NHL Network, was good enough to occupy the 15th spot on the list. While this seems like a terrible place to be for Larkin, NHL Insider Brian Boyle shared an opinion on Larkin that we don't hear too often.
Mike Rupp would call him a "prototypical power-forward", while Brian Boyle would take it further.
«I think he's criminally underrated. I've always appreciated his game. His two-way game is tremendous,» Boyle said on the panel. «He can score, he can set up players. He scored 30 goals (in) four straight years on a team that hasn't been very good, quite frankly.»
Dylan Larkin Is A Criminally Underrated Forward in the NHL
While 15th is a terrible ranking for the linchpin in the Red Wings audience, the NHL Network crew did give Larkin his due.
Boyle feels like he doesn't get enough respect in the league, considering he's only seen one run to the playoffs and hasn't won a Stanley Cup.
He hasn't had a season in which he's scored under 60+ points since the 2016-17 NHL season.
All he needs to do to earn that cherry on top and some respect is to lead the Red Wings to the playoffs and take them on a deep run.
For now, he'll have to settle for ""criminally underrated", which in many ways isn't a terrible moniker for someone who has yet to achieve a major milestone in the league.
