The stardom of Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond is evident as picked up his 3rd point of the 4 Nations Faceoff for Sweden today against Finland.
While the rest of the Red Wings got themselves a 2-week long break, both Raymond and Larkin have remained busy by wearing the colours of their native countries.
Today against Finland, Raymond picked up an assist in what was a 4-3 OT loss; it was his 3rd overall point to lead all Swedish players so far through their pair of games.
Raymond's shot from the point was stopped by Finnish goalie
Kevin Lankinen, who kicked the puck back out into the slot; Sabres captain
Rasmus Dahlin cleaned up the garbage in front of the net:
Raymond truly broke out as a potential star in the NHL last year, turning on the heat in the 2nd half of the schedule and helping the Red Wings to within a single point of their 1st playoff berth since 2016.
This year, he's on pace for a new career-best in points.
Dylan Larkin splayed sparingly for the Americans on Thursday against Finland
Despite being Detroit's top power play threat with 12 PPG, he wasn't utilized on any of their man advantage chances by coach Mike Sullivan of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
