One Detroit Red Wings forward is now the odd one out of the lineup, with Patrick Kane returning to the lineup from injury.
On Sunday night, the Detroit Red Wings faced off against the Toronto Maple Leafs and reinforcements had arrived.
Forward Patrick Kane returned to the lineup Sunday and will add to the extra firepower in the lineup. Fortunately, he's improved, as the injury status update earlier considered him questionable.
With his return, we've seen a large lineup shift ahead of the Red Wings vs Maple Leafs at Little Caesars Arena.
The biggest mystery of all is Elmer Soderblom, who sat on the bench Sunday while the power play specialist evened the odds in a must-win game.
In 25 games this season, Soderblom has scored 3 points (2-1). One of those goals came against the Washington Capitals, on December 20th, prior to Christmas break.
He's contributed to the team's successes.
So why is he coming out of the lineup?

The Swedish-born forward who was selected 159th overall by the Red Wings has been a fixture on the team's bottom six.
But with the recent addition to the lineup, it appears that Todd McLellan has decided to take another route, with Marco Kasper and Michael Rasmussen occupying those spots that Soderblom could've taken.
Kasper has been goalless in the past five games and has only contributed an assist. It's puzzling that Soderblom was taken out of the lineup before Kasper due to his documented struggles.
In the last twenty games, Kasper has scored 2 points (2 A) and added 19 penalty minutes to his "contributions" this season.
Did Todd McLellan pull the wrong player?
