The Detroit Red Wings issue a tribute as the hockey world continues to mourn the tragic passing of former NHL goaltender and analyst, Greg Millen.

The 67-year old spent 14 seasons within the National Hockey League, between the pipes of six different organizations, including the Detroit Red Wings during the 1991/92 season.
Millen appeared in more than 600 regular season games within his career, standing by the Quebec Nordiques, Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, and Hartford Whalers throughout that duration.
Following his retirement from professional play, he transitioned into a new position as a broadcaster for the Ottawa Senators during their inaugural 1992/93 season.
He would later find himself as a commentator for Hockey Night in Canada, and NHL on Sportsnet, alongside huge names such as Don Cherry, Ron MacLean, Bob Cole, Harry Neale, and Jimmy Hughson.
Despite his broadcasting success, the former goaltender climbed his way up the ladder, calling three Olympic Games, two World Cups of Hockey, twelve Stanley Cup Finals, and twelve NHL All-Star games.
The Detroit Red Wings organization shared their condolences to his family and friends.
«We are saddened to learn of the passing of Greg Millen, who played for the Detroit Red Wings during the 1991-92 season.

Sending our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this time.»
He was not only known and loved by the hockey and broadcasting world, he was also a father of four children and a husband.
We send our deepest condolences to Greg Millen's family and friends during this hard time.
