BREAKING: Big name put on waivers today
The New York Rangers have placed forward Barclay Goodrow on waivers. He will now be available to other team until tomorrow.
Goodrow had six goals in 16 playoffs games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year. The Rangers are looking for some salary cap space and hope that a team will claim Goodrow. Goodrow has a cap hit of $3,641,667 and NTC of 15 team. Goodrow has also three years left on his deal and didn't have the expected season this year.
He has proven that he is a winner with the Tampa Bay Lightning and was really good in the playoff for the Rangers, but this is high paid for a player who plays on the fourth line.
The Red Wings could be interested in acquiring Goodrow as veteran talent at a reasonable cap hit since they are looking to make the offense better and help the younger talent on the team.
