Cooper tells gruesome story regarding Alex Killorn
Last night on the TNT broadcast, Lightning head coach Jon Cooper told a story of Alex Killorn in the Stanley Cup playoffs a few years ago.
Killorn had a rod placed in his broken leg to make sure he would be able to play in game 6 if need be.
Alex Killorn chose to have a rod inserted in his leg, in case the Stanley Cup Final went to a Game 6
"Some of the things you do
just to get back for the benefit of having to hoist the Stanley Cup."
Hockey players are known for being tough but doing something like this is on a whole other level.
