Once again, the hockey world has been thrown into mourning after a 29 year old player passed away - another one of our own gone far too soon.
Tragically, the hockey world is in mourning once again following the unexpected death of a young player.
29-year-old hockey player Johnny Bonta of the Toledo Mobsters, a AAA semi-pro hockey team in Toledo, has died as confirmed by multiple posts on social media.
On behalf of the Toledo Mobsters Hockey Club it is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Johnny Bonta #13, #8. Johnny was not only a valued, talented, player on our team, he was a friend, and family to our team and the organization.
We will miss you Johnny! Your family, friends, teammates are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
RIP on the pond in heaven Johnny.
