REPORT: 2 years of prison after awful crime
Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano, two former members of the Victoriaville Tigres, have been sentenced to over two years in prison for a heinous crime they committed in 2021 while playing in the QMJHL.
Daigle received a 32-month sentence, while Siciliano was sentenced to 30 months for the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl following their team's QMJHL President's Cup victory.
Both players acknowledged their wrongdoing and pled guilty to the charges. They will be incarcerated until 2027. It's a tragic downfall for two young athletes with promising futures, only to throw it all away through despicable behavior.
This is a good reminder to all aspiring athletes that one grave mistake can derail an entire career.
