Heading into Saturday, there remain four teams in trade discussions for defenseman Rasmus Andersson, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.

Trade rumors continue to buzz around defenseman Rasmus Andersson.
The Calgary Flames player is a desirable acquisition, not only for his contract value but also for his quality of play.
The defenseman who lines up on the top pair in Calgary would be a great fit in the Detroit Red Wings system, giving them extra firepower on the power play and in the lineup.
There haven't been any new revelations on the Red Wings dropping out of the mix for the defenseman, but an update is that the field for an Andersson trade is down to just four teams
"Things can develop quickly. However, sources say 4 teams remain in the mix for Flames Dman, Rasmus Andersson. Two teams in the east and two in the west. Boston and Vegas are strong contenders. Unless there's progress, there's a decent chance Andersson plays today for Cgy."

Are the Detroit Red Wings one of four teams left in the hunt for defenseman Rasmus Andersson?

While numerous reports on social media have prematurely announced a trade, we haven't seen anything substantial materialize yet.
The Bruins and Red Wings have been tied to the defenseman in recent rumors, and the $27M defenseman would be a great addition by Steve Yzerman to the team's lineup should he be able to pull it off.
This season, he's played on the top pair, scoring 29 points (10-19), playing on the Flames' second power play unit.
Andersson's gritty style lends well to playoff hockey and would add a bit of offense that is missing on the blue line. And we suspect that for a right-shot defenseman, the price to acquire him won't be cheap either.
We'd expect to see the Red Wings give up a top prospect and a 1st-round pick for the Swedish-born defenseman.
More to report as this story continues to develop before the Olympic break.
