Bad update on Red Wings' Tyler Motte after scary injury vs. Sharks
The last thing that the Detroit Red Wings need right now is more injury trouble, but they've lost forward Tyler Motte for the remainder of tonight's game.
The Detroit Red Wings won't have forward Tyler Motte for the remainder of tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks at Little Caesars Arena.
He appeared to lose an edge while attempting to chase the puck behind the San Jose net late in the second period. He crashed into the boards and appeared to hit his face; there was blood on the ice as he was attended to by Red Wings trainer Piet van Zant.
The Red Wings have since announced that Motte will not return to the game.
Motte is skating in his 1st year with the Red Wings, and has 4 points (2G, 2A) in 28 games played.
