Detroit Red Wings announce 11 cuts from training camp roster

According to a report from the Detroit Red Wings, Steve Yzerman has reduced the training camp roster to 51, as they've sent 11 players back to their clubs ahead of the Red & White game.

The Detroit Red Wings have just trimmed the roster by 11 players today.
The move occurred ahead of the Red & White Game, which takes place tomorrow in Van Andel Arena on September 21st, 2025, at 3 P.M.
The Red Wings have sent forward Kevin Bicker to Lowen Frankfurt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
Other hopefuls have been returned to their respective junior and overseas clubs: forward Grayden Robertson, defenseman Will Murphy, and goaltenders Michael Pradal and Landon Miller.
While the ECHL's Toledo Walleye will see Nicklas Andrews returned to the lineup, as he has been released from his professional tryout with the Red Wings.
Forwards Vincent Collard, Liam Kilfoil, defenseman Carl-Otto Magnusson, and Wyatt Kennedy will be joining them, released from their ATO (amateur tryouts).

What is Next For the Detroit Red Wings?

This leaves the Detroit Red Wings with 28 forwards and 17 defenseman left in the lineup to evaluate.
The next round of cuts could come after the Red & White game at the Grand Rapids Griffins home, the Van Andel Arena, on September 21st.

The Red Wings will continue their training camp with the 2025 Red & White Game on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Van Andel Arena, home of the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins. Fans can watch the sold-out game on WXSP-TV across West Michigan or watch the live stream on DetroitRedWings.com and the Red Wings Mobile App. Please note that the live stream will only be available to fans in Michigan and Northwest Ohio.

Notable players who still remain for Sunday: Eduards Tralmaks, Carson Bantle, Nate Danielson, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Carter Mazur, and John Leonard still remain.
Leonard and Tralmaks were offseason acquisitions.
They've both shown promise before in the minor leagues, while Tralmaks lit up the IIHF this summer.
Will they separate themselves from the group and earn a full-time spot on the NHL roster?
