Detroit Red Wings legends Niklas Kronwall and Darren McCarty will be present at a Red & White game in Van Andel Arena, as they and other Red Wings players will have an autograph session before puck drop.
It was reported on The Hockey News that Detroit Red Wings legends Darren McCarty, Niklas Kronwall, Kris Draper, and others will be present before puck drop at this year's Red & White game.
The legendary cast of Red Wings will be available to fans for a meet & greet and autograph signing on September 3rd, 2025, at Van Andel Arena.
The session will take place from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. in Van Andel Arena.
The arena hosts the yearly Red & White Game, which concludes the end of training camp, and will see Red Wings prospects face off before they head back to Grand Rapids to suit up in the AHL for the year.
The Red & White Game Setup
While fans get to enjoy a meet & greet with some of their favorite Detroit Red Wings legends, the Red & White game will be a treat.
For Red Wings fans, they'll get to see prospects compete for two periods and a full intermission before they're placed in special teams situations.
The drills are used to evaluate the prospects to give coaches an idea of what players are capable of.
Fortunately for them, none of them will ever be Kronwall'd.
This will be the fifth time the Van Andel Arena has hosted the Red & White game to conclude the Traverse City prospect tournament.
Except this time for Red Wings fans, they're bringing a bit extra, with veterans and Stanley Cup champions in tow.
