Detroit Red Wings legend receives heartfelt honouring and it's emotional

The Detroit Red Wings alumni game took place this weekend and had two special guests, Dani Probert and Vladimir Konstantinov.
The Detroit Red Wings alumni game took place in Howell this weekend and featured a heartfelt gesture between Vladimir Konstantinov and Dani Probert.
We got to see an exchange between the Dani, the wife of former Red Wings enforcer Bob Probert, a legend in the NHL, and Vladimir Konstantinov, a former Stanley Cup champion.
The Probert family had in possession, Konstantinov's gloves, as Bob Probert used to trade with his Red Wings teammates and apparently had a set of his lying around.
«The family wants to give them back to Vlady,» DesAutel said. «Dani's going to come out and surprise Vlady at puck drop with some of the kids.»
You can just see how excited Konstantinov is to be reunited with his former equipment.
According to Livingston Daily, the set of gloves he wore during his rookie season with the Red Wings.
The gesture was intended as a surprise, and it looks like they more than pulled it off.
The former Red Wings defenseman was present for the game, as this is the fourth consecutive year he was able to drop the puck during pre-game ceremonies.
Former Red Wings in attendance:
Ogrodnick, Redmond, Ed Mio, George Bowman, Red Berenson, Ryan Barnes, Danny DeKeyser and Drew Miller. Dennis Hextall and Nick Libett, who played in the 1970s, will serve as coaches.
Dani Probert made Konstantinov's day with that gift, and kept the camaraderie in the sport alive.
His career was cut too short as a result of a limo accident after the Red Wings' Stanley Cup win in 1997. It's great to see him and the rest of the organization keep him in the loop, like Probert his legacy will live on, and those gloves were a small but symbolic part of it.
