The Detroit Red Wings' head coach Todd McLellan has had enough of his teams effort throughout a dreadful, current six game losing streak, and has now sent a clear message by scratching a roster player ahead of a must-win game against the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday

The Red Wings are currently in a tough rut amidst a 6-game losing streak at the worst possible time of the year, roughly 20 games before the playoffs.
While the Red Wings buckle up for a much-needed win against the Sabres, it appears that a player has been yanked from the lineup.
As the Red Wings took morning skate on home, we noticed a player missing from the lineup provided by The Hockey News' Sam Stockton.
Forward Jonatan Berggren, who has played in 61 out of the 64 games this season, and also buried the game-tying goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets, appears to be a healthy scratch.
Red Wings forward, Berggren, is 'skating as an extra', prior to their matchup against the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday.
Good on Todd McLellan for sending a message to this group by making adjustments, but it's a little late, as the Red Wings have fallen five slots out of a Wildcard spot.
Better late than ever though, right? With the scratch of Berggren, this should spark others to step up their game, including forward Vladimir Tarasenko, who has only tallied one point in his last six games.
