The Detroit Red Wings need additional talent down the lineup, and they could look into sending an offer sheet to RFAs like Nic Hague or Will Cuylle this summer.

The Detroit Red Wings have an idea of the compensation for the 2025 offer sheet class, if there is any.
After GM Doug Armstrong of the St. Louis Blues made a splash signing both Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg and augmenting his team positively, the tide could swing in Yzerman's favor should he be bold enough.
Offer sheets are not often used, and only on rare occasions have we seen them used successfully. One, as a GM, could use an offer sheet in retribution. Needless to say, Armstrong woke up a sleeping giant when he signed Broberg and Holloway.
Should GM Steve Yzerman decide to factor in an offer sheet in his offseason plans, who could he explore adding to the Red Wings' lineup?

Will Cuylle

Will Cuylle is an underrated top-six forward in the New York Rangers system who has hit his stride. This season, he scored a total of 45 points (20 goals, 25 assists) and can play a two-way game with some physicality involved.
The Rangers are primed for a cap crunch given their latest signings of Igor Shesterkin and Will Borgen, along with having to pick and choose between several free agents. Cuylle could be vulnerable.

Mathew Knies

Another power-forward who the Red Wings could poach, is a former Minnesota forward who scored 58 points (29 goals, 29 assists) in 78 games for the Gophers.
He plays fast and physical, and has a two-hundred foot game. A GMs dream player, someone who has the complete tool set.
The Maple Leafs are in a tough spot, considering they have to pick and choose between Mitch Marner, John Tavares, and Knies.
GM Brad Treliving's folly could be our gain.
The Detroit Red Wings need help on the blue line. Hague could be a decent depth addition for the team, He's played for the team during the toughest stretch of the year in the playoffs, and the Stanley Cup.
He's a 6'6" defensive defenseman and could add more size to the blue line.
The cost to pry him from the Vegas Golden Knights system could prove to be easier than the other two players mentioned above. But given how much cap space Vegas has invested into their defenseman it may not come so cheap.
