Life changing news strikes Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin

Dylan Larkin and his wife, Kenzy, shared wonderful news today via social media. They've welcomed a new life into the world.

Her name is Lennyn Marie Larkin, and she was born on May 19th, 2025. In the midst of all the troubling news surrounding the Red Wings organization, this is a sign that hope remains for the Larkins.

For Larkin, this could give him superpowers next season, as we all know how Dad energy radiates on the ice.

This is a huge victory for the Larkins, who as a couple went through two miscarriages. But stuck by their plans in order to make a family, and persevered.

The announcement was made today in the shadow of loss, which occurred as they lost their first child to miscarriage in 2023.

This is certainly a feel good story of the summer for fans of a team who have struggled this season.

Now, Larkin, who is Captain of the Red Wings, has another reason to perform above and beyond on the ice and at home, due to the precious life he and Kenzy brought into the world.

This season in 82 games with the Red Wings, he scored a total of 70 points (30 goals, 40 assists) and played his tenth season wearing the winged wheel.
