A new trade proposal has begun to circulate the media, speculating that the Detroit Red Wings will send a goaltender to their divisional rival in exchange for a forward that would bolster their offense immediately.

The Detroit Red Wings are off to a beautiful start for the 2025/26 NHL regular season, where they now sit at 5-1-0, with 10 points within six games.
The organization's top forwards, such as Dylan Larkin and DeBrincat, have been producing extremely well, and shockingly enough, it seems as though the Red Wings may have accumulated some essential pieces for Detroit.
Emmitt Finnie, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, and Axel Sandin-Pellikka are all upholding major roles in this Original Six franchise, despite only being rookies.

This deal would ultimately be extremely beneficial for both sides, as this would solve the Edmonton Oilers' issue in net while also offering the Detroit Red Wings extra offensive strength and a huge faceoff contributor.
