The deal with the
Red Wingswill begin during the 2025-2026 NHL season. However, we are unsure of the details that come with a deal such as this one.
Tralmaks has been in some legendary company lately in the Czech Extraliga playing for the Rytíři Kladno, which is owned by former Pittsburgh Penguins legend Jaromir Jagr.
The
Red Wings had kept track of his career, as he had one of the best years with Kladno. He played 48 games for the Extraliga club leading the league with 51 points (23 goals, 28 assists) and along the way helping the Kladno avoid relegation.
He even tallied more points than Jagr, which at his age is to be expected.
However, the 28-year-old knows North American hockey well and has played in the
AHL with the Providence Bruins.
While he played in the AHL with the Boston Bruins affiliate he'd score 41 points with the club in 87 games played with the P-Bruins while wearing the "A'.
He'd also appear in three Calder Cup playoff games for the P-Bruins and has a deep history with the New England area.
He played AAA hockey in Boston and would play collegiate hockey with the University of Maine, scoring 82 points in 119 games.
Tralmaks is from Latvia, born in Riga but would play in the EIHL with the Boston Bandits, and with the USHL's Chicago Steel.
The former P-Bruins forward would be a key piece in Latvia securing a spot in the 2026 Winter Olympics as the 2024 IIHF team he played on made it to the IIHF Men's World Championship.
This isn't the only time he's represented Latvia, as he did so in 2017 at the IIHF World Championship and in 2015 at the U-18 IIHF World Championships.
